Ornella Garrone, MD is head of the Division of Medical Oncology, at Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milano.
She has been head of Breast Unit at the A. O. S. Croce e Carle, Cuneo.
She is chair and co-chair of many clinical and translational trials.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Genoa, and subsequently completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology at the same institute.
She was trained at the Istituto Nazionale per la Ricerca sul Cancro Genova and she was involved in the research and treatment of breast cancer.
From 2003 until now Dr. Garrone is teaching professor at School for Laboratory Technicians at the University of Torino.
She was visiting scientist at Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania US).
She is author or co-author of more than 100 scientific papers mostly in breast cancer.
She is full member of Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica (AIOM), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).
